 Finally finished all the beads I need to complete the Butterfly necklace project.  (Hooray, says Beth.)  The final 2 beads are in keeping with the sun and sky, back to nature theme, and are meant to resemble the sun and stars respectively.  Now I just need to find the time to assemble the piece.  I will scout around for some dazzling Czech glass ‘filler’ and will use gold vermeil findings which always seems to lift the colors in the venetian glass beads.  Stay tuned for the finished necklace in a week or so ………

This week on this ongoing project I have made an additional 3 beads.  With each session as I look at the pre-made beads beside me, I see that it is taking the form of a triangular necklace and somehow will attempt to wire all the beads together rather than have single strands coming off the wings of the butterfly.  I loved the outcome of the blue centred lentil above the butterfly.  Something about glass lustres that add a magical effect

This weeks session turned out 2 more beads in the shape of a little bluebird and a gold foiled starburst.  I’m thinking lots of tiny transparent butterflys as in-betweeners.  Food for thought for next week.
